  • Work within the Maritime Bus Agency to sell bus tickets, ship outgoing parcel, handling incoming packages, contact customers and general customer service
  • Answer the telephone for Maritime Bus Agency and handle inquiries about bus schedules.
  • Answer the telephone for the Information Desk and handle queries for campus information.
  • Operate various information desk services: such as fax, photocopying, assigning keys, making change, lost and found, and other services as directed by supervisor
  • Process ticket sales for events such as Students Union concerts and other events
  • Handle cash, complete interact transactions
  • General information inquiries regarding STFXU & Students Union
  • Work with Students Union executive and the full-time staff to perform other duties as assigned

Bring in the Bystander Coordinator . . .

  • This position is responsible for organizing and facilitating the Bring in the Bystander training
  • This position will sit on the University's Sexual Violence Prevention Committe
  • This position will train any students interested in becoming a facilitator throughout the year

Drive U Driver . . .

Drive U is a student drive-home service that operates 7 days a week, providing StFX students with a safe ride home after studying, coming to campus, or visiting the Golden X Inn.

Drivers will typically work on average 2 times a week, with shifts ranging from 4 to 6 hours. Should be noted that the DriveU service only operates at night time, making for great student job.

All drivers will be accompanied by another driver during their shift and will split up driving duties.

Drive U Senior Driver . . .

  • To be eligible for this position, the appointee must be a Drive U Driver.
  • Act as the service coordinator for Drive U; the main liaison between drivers and the office of Vice President Finance & Operations.
  • Oversee driver hiring & training alongside VP Finance and Operations.
  • Responsible to overlook the day-to-day operations of Drive U: including weekly staff scheduling and the dissemination of relevant information to employees.
  • Ensure that service policy and procedure is adhered too.
  • Cancellation of Drive U for weather purposes is under the discretion of the Senior Drive U Driver in consultation with the VP-Finance and Operations.
  • The Senior Drive U Driver is responsible to submit biweekly payroll information to the Students' Union Accounts Manager.

Student Food Resource Centre Coordinator . . .

  • The SFRCC shall be responsible for the development, maintenance, and effective management of the Students' Union Student Food Resource Centre.
  • The SFRCC shall be required to attend Society Night in the Fall to recruit new volunteers.
  • The SFRCC shall be tasked with selecting, training, and scheduling Volunteers at the Centre each semester.
  • The SFRCC shall be responsible for collecting donations of food items and transporting them to the Student Food Resource Centre.
  • The SFRCC shall be responsible for organizing at least one (1) food drive.
  • The SFRCC shall be responsible for coordinating the Summer Community Garden and greenhouse including the training and scheduling of volunteers.
  • The SFRCC shall be responsible for six (6) office hours per week.

  • Offering a focus on disciplinary issues within the Community Code, dealing with residence issues and any other sanctions that fall under the discipline process in the StFX Community
  • Researching specific cases of students being charged and present a defense of those students to the appeals committee or as the case requires
