Hey everyone!

I’m shocked at how fast this year has gone by- as if the SU Presidential Election is already a week underway, wiiild. Check out this year’s candidates and their platforms at: http://www.votenickandrachel.com/campaign/ and https://www.facebook.com/VoteMariahAndNate . And vote vote vote vote vote on January 31! ☺

CASA Lobbycon, X-Ring, Parking, SU Strat Plan, Surviving November: Blog 8 (November 18)

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the delay on this blog. I am in Ottawa all week this week for our Canadian Alliance of Student Associations Lobby Conference and haven't had much time to get on the computer. Anyhoo, I'll spend this blog talking about this conference and mentioning a few other things going on in my office.

2 DAYS + ONE MONTH TIL XRING. ANSSA, CASA, Strategic Plan, XRing: Blog 7 (November 2)

Hi eurybody!

Currently listening to: Chicks Dig It- Chris Cagle. Reminiscing of the prairies a lil bit here.

Hope everyone is surviving midterm/paper season so far and you're as excited as I am for December 3 to get here- ONLY 31more days! Its a little surreal.

Anyhoo, my office has been really busy these past couple of weeks.

BOG, Campus Renos, Homecoming, Midterms, etc (Pres Blog 7- October 19, 2011)

Hey hey hey,

Hope everyone's midterms are going well and you're as excited as I am to stop drinking coffee from 8AM-Close. First off , just a note: our exec team had a chat and we decided to each have a new blog posted on every second Wednesday. So 2 weeks from today (Wed, Movember 2) check back here for some more updates on my office!

Things have been wild, crazy and wonderful at St FX (from all those outside St FX who may be reading this [am I giving my blogging skills way too much credit here?]), at the SU and in my office.

Frosh Week Fever- Pres Blog 5 (August 29)

Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone is having a great last week of summer and you're all pumped to get back to X for the year! New faces have been rolling back to campus this past week with athletics training camps, RA & HD training, SU training, etc- theres a flurry of energy on campus.

Denim Day at the SU- Pres Blog 4 (August 11)

Hey Everyone,

Hope the Canadian heat wave (… that somehow seemed to skip NS?) is treating you all nicely and you’re getting pumped to get back to X in only a few weeks- Whoooo! Things at X and in the SU are busy as always. The full-time staff and exec are all starting to pile back in after various vacation days. Everyone will be back on Monday to really get into the frosh week/new year rumble.

Provincial Funding & St FX- Pres Blog 3 (July 15)

Hey everyone!

July in the St FX Students’ Union has been an exciting time as always. Antigonish has been bumpin with Canada Day and Highland Games. I also swung over to Cavendish to see some friends from X to watch the Eric Church and Toby Keith concert. It wasn’t quite like being back at Calgary Stampede but still a great couple of weeks all around!

My major projects for the summer have come to a bit of a hold so I’ve been spending the past couple weeks doing a lot of reading of Post-Secondary Education (PSE) issues and getting familiar with provincial funding to universities in NS.

BOG, Frosh Week & Keeping Busy- Pres Blog 2 (June 14)

Hey X,

Things are going great at the SU so far this month. Things in my office have been moving fast and its been crazy busy so I have lots of update.

Moving Inn (<-- Propoganda) -Pres Blog 1

Hey everybody!

The first month in office came to an end, with that I finally managed to get everything organized and somewhat ready for the upcoming year. Sorting through files, emails and absurd amounts of 'The Office' memorabilia (generously left behind by my predecessor) always takes more time than expected but now things are ready to get moving.
