Approval Networks

The Approval Network for Risk Assessment Forms are laid out so that each “stakeholder” has the opportunity to sit down with you and talk about the different aspects that go into planning an event.

The diagrams below represent which Event Review Committee stakeholder you will need to meet with starting at the outside moving toward the center. You must book these meetings with the various stakeholders, showing up without an appointment can be frustrating for both the ‘PEO’ and the stakeholder.

So if your event requires bar service, you will need to meet with Colin Brennan the Supervisor, Liquor Services (see his contact info on the contact info page). At this meeting you will need to print off both the Risk Assessment Form, and the Liquor License Form. You will also need to fill out some of the information on both of these forms, prior to this meeting.

Then you carry on through the rest of the Approval Network. Until you have met with each stakeholder. Once you have completed the signature portion of the Risk Assessment Form, you can hand it off to the VP Activities and Events to submit to the Event Review Committee.

You must have the completed form into the Committee seven days from the Tuesday before your event.
Example: If you are planning an event for September 24th, the completed form must be submitted no later than 4pm on Tuesday September 14th.

Once the Event Review Committee meets, you will be sent an email that outlines whether your event has been approved or not approved. Some approvals will come with conditions so make sure you read your email thoroughly.
