Hello Xaverians. My name is Alex Nicole Musial. I am currently in my fourth and final year of the BBA program majoring in Leadership in Management. I spent my first three years at X actively involved in campus theatre, residence life as an RA and a House Director (with a House of the Year win!!!) as well as serving a year term on the Senate. After spending a glorious year in Burke, I’ll be venturing off campus for my second year for what promises to be another memorable year at StFX. My name is Brent MacKinnon, I will be representing Somers and Powers, as well as Governors Hall this year with my seat on Council. I grew up in Nova Scotia, and I am currently entering my fourth year at X. I like consider myself appreciative of the responsibilities and complexities that come with maintaining a Students' Union which contributes positively to its students. This year on council I hope to provide a voice which can help TheU do just that.

 
Hello beautiful people! My name is Brianna Hunter. I’m from the wee town of Heidelberg, Ontario. I first heard about StFX on Rick Mercer Report, but when I met Mercer in person and he told me how amazing this school was, I knew it was destiny.

I first got involved here through O-Crew and Kinetics society. Now I’m one of the O-Crew co-chairs (with the fabulous Ceilidh) and still highly involved in Kinetics. When I’m not painting faces, cheering loudly, and dancing to 90’s boy bands, you can find me watching Bill Murray movies, eating roasted red pepper dip, and professionally slap-bet commissioning.

 
Hey, I'm Ceilidh and I'm one of this year's O-Crew Co-Chairs. I'm a 4th year History student with a focus in America's Cold War. For the past two years I've been involved in O-Crew, first as a Hype Committee member and last year as the Off-Campus Executive. I live, breathe and cheer O-Crew and the StFX spirit.

With the help of my partner in crime, Bri Hunter, we hope to make this year's Frosh Week the best it's ever been! We’ll be working hard to bring you all your favorite events from Dancing in the Streets to the infamous Jell-o Slide.

I love Frosh Week and everything that is involved with it and hope to bring StFX’s class of 2014 the best first day here at our University! If you don’t see us around campus, I’m sure that you’ll hear us!

I am a fourth year Science student, majoring in Math, although I spent my first two years in Engineering and got a diploma and an X-Ring. In my second year at X, I was a Vice President of Burke House, and last year I held the position of Manager of The U Marketing Team. Now, I am in my third year working with The U as VP Communications. I am responsible for all communication that comes out of The U, which includes overseeing all marketing and promotion, website development, and branding of the Students' Union.

The U has a lot to offer to students. From valuable services to some of the most amazing events you will experience in your lives, the Students' Union looks to give something to every student at X. If you have any questions, ideas, or want to get involved in some way, feel free to come by my office and chat. My door is (almost) always open!

 
Hey X! I'm a third year Business student majoring in Marketing. I'm from Moncton, N.B. and I spent the last two incredible years at X living in TNT. Last year I was the Equity and Diversity Rep on TNT's house council, as well as a member of O-Crew's photo-video committee. This year you will once again find me creeping around with my camera during Frosh Week, and if I'm not studying you'll likely find me on fourth floor SUB, hanging out on Highland with my six wonderful housemates and friends, or attending far too many wing nights. I love art, music, the beach, travelling, and the office!

 
Hailing from Nelson, British Columbia, I'm in my 4th year of Political Science and Development Studies degree. I've taken part in a variety of the multitude of activities offered at X from O-Crew to societies such as X-Skydiving and X-tending hope, as well as House Council during my two years in MacIsaac. I enjoy sports, travelling, cooking, and of course wing nights at the Inn.

 
I am a fourth year Finance student, with a minor is Psychology. This is my second year working with The U. Last year I was one of the Business and I/S councillors, as well as the Union Station Clothing Store Coordinator. As VP Finance, I am responsible for creating the annual budget and ensuring that all departments of the Union are held accountable for their spending. In addition, I ensure that all bills are being paid on time and that the accounting is done accurately. Outside of work, I live with my five roommates and enjoy travelling, cooking, wing nights, my cat Nala, true crime novels, Dexter and Criminal Minds, and StFX. This is my third year of Business at StFX and my second year working at the Union Station Clothing Store. Since being taken over by the Students' Union, the store has transformed into a place where you can find classic apparel mixed with new and exciting clothing designed by students themselves.

I’m from a small town in southern New Brunswick that makes Antigonish look like a city. I was lucky enough to live in MacIsaac Hall my first year and crazy enough to live off campus with five roommates for my second. I’m into music, clothing, wing nights, procrastination of homework, and the occasion fort making with my roommates.

My job at the clothing store is to assure that you, the students, have new and exciting apparel to represent our school. This includes designing new items, ordering, keeping competitive prices, and making sure we can meet your needs. If you ever have any suggestions, fire me an email!

 
I’m a 4th Year Information Systems student from Amherst NS… If you have no idea where Amherst is, its town that borders Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. (Fun Fact: Amherst is also printed on one of the inn’s bar stamps!) So my title on the Marketing team is Social Networking Coordinator for the Students Union! That means I LOVE to tweet and send those annoying event notifications on Facebook! Jersey Shore and MTV’s The Real World take up most of my time aside from these duties...

My name is Elizabeth Faour, I'm from St. John's, Newfoundland, and I'm a third year biology student here at X. Fraser was my home for my first two years, during which I was a member of the house council. Since my first year, I have been involved in many campus organizations, such as Chaplaincy, X-Project, and Campus Police. In my spare time, I love to listen to music, play the piano, and have recently taken up the tin whistle. I'm excited to work for you as X-Helpline Coordinator this year and encourage you all to take advantage of this wonderful service!

 
I’m a Third Year student in the Bachelor of Arts program here at X and am excited to be serving with the Students' Union this year. I come from a little place in Ontario called Georgetown, and continue to love my time here in Antigonish. My past involvement with the Students' Union has been limited to serving as a member of the Campus Police, but this year I have the pleasure of expanding my participation to serving as the Deputy Chair of Council. I look forward to working with the other members of TheU as well as our student community in the coming year.

Hi, I’m Genevieve (Gen) Taylor a 4th year Accounting student from just outside of Calgary, AB – Priddis to be exact. I’m out on the East Coast exploring a new part of Canada and absolutely loving it! At X I’m involved with Intramurals, the Business Society/ACE, tutoring, Council, and I just started the StFX Women in Business Society. In my spare time you can find me falling down stairs, dancing up a storm, lunging, or chasing pigeons (sometimes all at once). If you have any problems or just want to chat – which I love to do, I live in the SUB and the Intramural Office. Looking forward to a ridiculous year!

 
This is my 3rd year here at StFX in the Bachelor of Arts program and my second year working for the Students’ Union. I started my second year as the president of TNT where I’ve lived for two years and had some of the most memorable experiences here at X so far. This year I decided to take on a bigger role within the Union as the Vice President of Union Services. Basically my job entails managing all the services offered by the Students’ Union such as X-Helpline, Student Advocates, Student Food Bank, Off-Campus Housing, the Photo Studio, and X-Tutoring. I’m super excited about this position because I get to meet so many unique people. On a more personal note, I am half Filipino and a proud Acadian hailing from Memramcook, New Brunswick. I love going to the beach, playing board games, crafts, road trips and my favorite night of the week is Wednesday wing nights at the Inn.

 
I am pursuing a business degree with honors in accounting. I came to StFX in September of 2008 after studying for one year at Simon Fraser University. After graduating from StFX, I am planning on attending graduate school where I hope to acquire both my law degree and my MBA. I currently live in Vancouver but lived in Calgary when I was younger. I was a member of Canada's youth climbing team and competed internationally.

 
I come from Sydney, NS, where I completed my undergrad in Psychology and Biology. I am currently in my second year of the Bachelor of Education program here at StFX, with a focus in elementary education. I’ve been fortunate enough to spend many summers working with children at a sleep-away camp in Pennsylvania, and believe it has brought me here to a great school which has the best education program in Canada! I love the beach, hiking, any water-related sports, cooking, and reading. If you have any questions about the education program or StFX in general, feel free to speak with me anytime you see me. I am a fourth year Marketing student and this is my first year working with the U. Last year I was involved in numerous societies including Invest-X of which I was a co-president. At the U I am the Marketing Manager meaning that myself and the Marketing Team are responsible for letting you know where the party's at on campus throughout the year!
Outside of the U you can find me playing basketball, surfing, on the dancefloor anywhere, watching Family Guy, The Office or Seinfeld or at the Golden X Inn having a few drinks (but not too many!).

The U has so much to offer to the student body and I hope you can find the time to put down your books and take advantage of all the wicked awesome stuff that is going on at StFX!

 
Hey I'm a third year Business student majoring in Enterprise Development. I'm from Whitehorse, Yukon-no I don't live in an igloo, next question. This year I'm the new Inn Promotions guy and I love great entertainment like DJ's, comedy, and a good Highland 2-step. I was a Councillor last year and loved all the experience that brought me. I'm so pumped for this year, can't wait to rock the inn, and I can't wait to meet you on wing night!

 
I am in my second year in the Development Studies program. I absolutely loved my first year at X, serving as the Finance Rep for Burke House and volunteering for Relay for Life and other campus events. This year I am the X-Army Coordinator for The U’s Marketing Team. I am responsible for organizing the volunteers of the X-Army marketing squad and putting forth creative marketing ideas for all things Students' Union. Outside of school I love to travel, play the piano and dream about X. Hi! My name’s Kate Whitters and I come from a small town in southern New Brunswick called Quispamsis. I’m a third year student in the B. Sc. Program, majoring in Biology and hoping to go into Education. This is my first year being involved with the Students’ Union, although I was a communications and intramural rep for Chillis my last two years. I was co-president of the field hockey club team last season, and I also enjoy playing hockey, soccer, lacrosse, and I love to be outside!

Hey guys! My name is Kathleen Murphy, and I’m one of your Science Councillors for 2010-2011! I’m a 3rd year Biology student from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I’m a former Chillis chick, I love sports, music, and being involved in campus life. You can find me all over campus, whether on the field for intramurals, or in the lib. I am a third year Business student majoring in Finance; this will be the first year that I will be working directly with the Students' Union. I am from the Halifax area, and I have enjoyed the time that I have spent at StFX thus far. I spent the past two years living in Lane Hall. Last year I was on house council and helped organize events such as Laser. I am looking forward to helping promote the wonderful events that we hold here on campus. Hey X!! I’m Kristen Zahn and I’ll be your Upper Campus Councillor for the 2010-2011 school year. I’m a second year nursing student and I live in the Mount. Outside of council I am a member of the StFX Field Hockey team, I teach swimming lessons and lifeguard at our pool, volunteer at Nubody’s and am a member of the Nursing society. I started volunteering at the Food Bank in my second year at StFX, this is my second year working with The U as Student Food Bank Coordinator. The Student Food Bank is a confidential service available to ALL students. We are located on West Street across from the practice field. Unfortunately not many people know about the Food Bank, my main goal this year is to spread the word!! We are always holding fundraisers and promotional events, if anyone is interested in helping out or has any ideas come visit me in my office. The door is always open!

 
It’s my third year here at X and I’m in the Bachelor of Arts program, and I absolutely live, breathe, and love X’s spirit. When I’m not working with the Union I’m usually hanging out with friends, playing piano, or jamming out to music. This is my second year working with the U. Hello my fellow Xavierians! My name is Liam Gillis and I am very excited to be one of your Student Advocates for the 2010-2011 year! I hail from God’s country, Sydney, Cape Breton and am in my fourth year. I am in the Bachelor of Arts, honoring in Economics program and also have a passion for Political Science. I first got involved with the U here at StFX last year when I joined the Campus Police force and had the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing student leaders. When I am not busy with school, I enjoy hanging with my boys and my girlfriend, kicking some butt in intramurals, working out at the gym, and getting it down on the pub d-floor! I am from Kentville, Nova Scotia found in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. I am currently pursuing a Business Administration degree with a major in Marketing and plan to start a career in sales or public relations. Hey there, I’m Mark Gillis, how are you today? I am a second year BBA student here at StFX, and I hail from a little piece of heaven called Howie Centre, in Cape Breton. This is my second year working with the Students’ Union, last year I was the MacDonald House President.

Music is a huge part of my life, and I love to listen to all different styles and genres. That love for music, combined with my interest in business, was the initial reason why I decided to learn the role of VP Activities through Aaron Flynn and Jeff Paddon two years ago.

My main responsibilities will be bringing the students an unforgettable Frosh Week (as well as all other concerts and events throughout the year), assisting the management of the Golden X Inn, and helping all event planners organize their own parties or activities on campus.

My name is Matt LeMoine and I am this year's Lower Campus Councillor. Last year I served as Frosh Councillor and I am currently a second year Arts student living in Burke House. I am a fourth year Accounting student hailing from Halifax, though I was born and lived in Dubai for four years. I am so excited to be involved with the Union this year! During my time at StFX I have been involved in House Council, Intramurals, the Xaverian Weekly, and Theatre Antigonish to name a few. This year I am the Administrative and Finance Coordinator for the Marketing Tteam, and am thrilled to have the chance to work with and meet so many new people. This is my third year at StFX and my second year working for TheU. I began last year as the Vice President of MacIsaac Hall. I loved the position so much that I decided to stay involved. My position this year consists of managing House Presidents, Vice Presidents and Off Campus Leaders, as well as their respective councils. This includes planning events, such as House Hockey Cups, as well as working with each council to ensure that they have the most successful year possible. I am also the primary liaison between the Students’ Union and the Residence Office. I am originally from Sydney, Nova Scotia. I spent my first two years at X in MacIsaac Hall and I’m finishing my X career off on Church St. with 6 fab roommates. I love pizza, dance parties and being a Cape Bretoner. This is my second year working for The U, as last year I was your Lower Campus Councillor. I’m a third year science student hailing from Glace Bay, Cape Breton. I spent my first two years at X studying Biology, however, this year I switched into the Human Kinetics program. When I’m not doing council duties or studying, I’m whistling. I am a second year biology student from Guelph, Ontario. I lived in Lane Hall in my first year and am now an RA in MacDonald. I am also the co-president of the Ultimate Frisbee society. In my role as Returning Officer, I plan to make the Students' Union elections of 2010-2011 run smoothly. I’m Olwyn, a third year Development Studies major from Alberta and your Internal Environmental Officer. I’ll be working on environmental awareness and activism campaigns as well as planning green events with House Council Reps. When I’m not working on green events I spend my time running, practicing routines from Glee- hoping to be on the next season, and travelling. I love elephants, Anchorman, Great Big Sea and (of course) StFX.

I'm a proud Maritimer but, for the past two years at X I've been living in The Jungle and loving every minute of it! This is my first year working directly with The U and I couldn't be more excited! I guess you could say I'm an avid doodler, and thats how I found myself as one of three Designers on the Union's Marketing Team.
