In 2017 Students-at-Large were introduced to all Union committees in an effort to:

  1.  Provide students with more experiential learning opportunities
  2. Increase transparency and input from the general student population,
  3. Ensure that decisions made at the committee level are representative of the diverse student demographic.

All Union committees are public for students to sit on, however successful applicants will become voting members. The Union encourages students to attend committee meetings regardless of the outcome of their application. Students-at-Large must not currently hold an elected representative position within the Students’ Union.
