Get Involved

Here at the Union we want every student who wants to be involved to have the opportunity to do so. We’ve compiled a list of volunteer and job opportunities within StFX and the Town of Antigonish where every student can find something they are interested in. We want you to find what you like and pursue it. Each student has the potential to accomplish anything he or she sets as a goal and the Students’ Union wants to help foster these opportunities.

Students at this school are also super involved in over 90 societies. There are societies for your academic faculties, charity organizations, sporting clubs, and outdoor adventure or gaming societies. Each September, there is a giant ‘Society Night’ in the SUB to meet presidents and sign up for mailing lists. Below is a list of societies and contact information for this year. Don’t fear if you don’t see anything that interests you- anyone at anytime can start their own society. Just contact Michael Cadegan at su_soc@stfx.ca

If you want to take your involvement at this university to a whole new level- you can always apply for a Students’ Union job. There are tons of opportunities within the Students’ Union to get involved as sub executives, house presidents, campus police, marketing team members, councilors, and even as executive members and the President and VP.
