Elections Canada is the independent, non-partisan agency that is responsible for conducting federal elections and referendums. The following positions will be employed by Elections Canada, not the Students’ Union. Elections Canada is hiring 1 student to work as a Community Relations Officer and 6 students to work as Service Clerks during the election period. These positions are paid and training is included.
Community Relations Officer will work 50 hours throughout the 36 day election period, September 15th-October 21st. This job will require you to move amongst campus to engage with the maximum amount of students. Students’ applying should be outgoing, non-partisan, well-spoken, and passionate about voting and politics. These students mandated responsibilities include: Guide students to find information about elections Canada Hang Elections Canada posters on campus Set up booth and answer students’ questions regarding the election Present information on behalf of Elections Canada
